Case Reports and Reviews: Open Access operates as a self-sustaining, independent open-access journal and does not receive financial support from any institution, society, or government body. The journal does not charge subscription or access fees for readers.

To support editorial management, peer review coordination, production, and online publication, authors are requested to contribute an Article Processing Charge (APC) only after their manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

The APC helps cover the essential costs involved in publishing open-access scholarly work, including but not limited to:

• Initial editorial assessment and manuscript handling
• Plagiarism screening to assess originality
• Coordination of peer review and editorial decision-making
• Professional copyediting and proofreading to ensure clarity and consistency
• Typesetting and layout preparation for final PDF publication
•  Online hosting and long-term digital availability of the published article
• DOI assignment via Crossref for persistent identification and citation linking
• Metadata preparation to support discoverability through scholarly platforms

Note: These publication charges apply to all submissions, including invited manuscripts. APCs are payable only after final acceptance of the manuscript.

APC Waiver and Discount Policy: The journal may consider partial APC reductions on a discretionary, case-by-case basis for:

• Authors from low- and middle-income countries
• Early-career researchers
• Invited submissions that align closely with the journal’s scope

APC reductions are assessed after editorial suitability and peer-review evaluation and are not guaranteed. Decisions regarding APC reductions do not influence editorial or peer-review outcomes.

Withdrawal Policy

• Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript at any stage prior to acceptance.

Before peer review:

• Manuscripts withdrawn before the review process begins will not incur any charges.

After completion of peer review:

• If a manuscript is withdrawn after the peer-review process has been completed, authors may be requested to contribute up to 50% of the applicable APC to cover editorial and review efforts already undertaken.

APC Payment: Detailed payment instructions will be shared with the corresponding author after acceptance of the manuscript.
