Human and Animal Research Ethics Policy

Research involving human participants or animals should be conducted responsibly and in accordance with applicable institutional, national, and international ethical requirements.
Studies involving human participants should clearly state that appropriate ethics committee approval was obtained where required and that informed consent was obtained from participants or their legal representatives whenever applicable.

Animal research should be conducted following accepted animal welfare principles and should include information regarding ethical approval from the relevant institutional committee where appropriate.

The editorial office may request supporting documentation during the review process if clarification is required.
